Lynn Ayoub
Ph.D. student in Public and Urban Policy

Lynn is a doctoral student in the Public and Urban Policy program at The New School. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the Lebanese University and a Master’s degree in Public and Urban Policy from The New School as a Fulbright scholar. She previously worked as the coordinator and researcher for the Tripoli Institute of Policy Studies (TIPS). Currently, she serves as the editing coordinator for the Policy, Design, and Development Working Paper Series of the doctoral program, a Teaching Assistant for the graduate course Economics for Public Policy, and a researcher at the Urban Space Lab.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of infrastructure, politics, and inequality, with a focus on how infrastructure is used as a tool to shape societies and reinforce power structures. She is interested in understanding how political decisions about infrastructure can deepen inequalities and fragment societies, while also identifying policy recommendations to create more inclusive and equitable urban spaces. While her broader interests lie in the Middle East, she is currently focused on understanding the politics of infrastructure in Lebanon, and looking to explore other cases as well.
